Welcome to USL Tactics!

I’m John Morrissey, and I watch too much soccer. I got my start talking about the USL in 2020, posting statistical graphics and tactical breakdowns on Twitter as something to fill my time during the pandemic lockdowns.

The amazing USL community helped me grow from there. I got to join The USL Show, the premier leaguewide podcast and one my favorite resources for getting interested in the league in the first place. I interned as an analyst for Neill Collins with the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Mark Briggs with the Sacramento Republic, providing weekly scouting reports and analytical advice. I was a founding writer at Backheeled covering all things USL.
